RAY COOK TAKES SRRS VICTORY AT NORTH GEORGIA SPEEDWAY!

Ray Cook (Brasstown, NC) took the PPM Race Products Southern Regional Racing Series checkered flag at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA. Out of 35 top driver entries from 6 states, Ray Cook set his sites on the main prize and went after it! Cook had fast time out of qualifying group number 3, securing an outside pole starting position in the $3,000 to win, 40-lap feature. This win made the second SRRS win for Cook this season and his 10th career SRRS feature win since the series was formed 5 years ago. Cook also earned Shy Suspension and Base Racing Fuels Feature Winner Awards.

Crossville Tennessee’s Randy Weaver set quick time out of the 35 entries and earned the Star Grafix Fast Time Award of a $100 Certificate toward a wrap. Weaver finished the feature in second place. Billy Ogle Jr. (Knoxville, TN) finished the feature in third place. Ronnie Johnson (Chattanooga, TN) qualified third in his group earning the ninth place feature starting position. Johnson would move up to finish the main event in fourth place. Fifth place went to Lee Sutton (Taylorsville, GA).

The top nine drivers that locked into the feature through qualifying was Billy Ogle Jr. (Knoxville, TN), Derek Ellis (Chatsworth, GA), Ronnie Johnson (Chattanooga, TN), Randy Weaver (Crossville, TN), Lee Sutton (Taylorsville, GA), Skip Arp (Georgetown, TN), Ray Cook (Brasstown, NC), Austin Dillon (Louisville, NC),  and Tony Knowles (Tyrone, GA).


The winner of B-Main number one and drivers transferring to the main event was Mike Collins (Council Bluffs, IA), Bo Shirley, Brian Hickman, Eric Hickerson, and Rodney Weeks. The winner of B-Main number two was Brandon Kinzer (Allen, KY) followed by Chuck Proctor, David Payne, and Tony Morris. The winner of B-Main number three was Jacob Grizzle (Blairsville, GA) followed by Jay Brinkley (Raus, TN), Preston Graves (Murphy, NC), and Jody Summerville.

Deluxe Performance Racing Products Hard Luck Award goes to Brandon King of Decatur, Alabama. Brinkley Farm’s 10th place award winner, Bo Shirley, will receive $50. DBR Performance Starters’ 12th place award winner, David Payne, receives a $75 gift certificate. Double H Race Fabrication’s 15th place award winner, Jacob Grizzle, will receive a $50 off certificate.
