Ponderosa Speedway Adds $2,000 to win NASRA Event on Friday June 18

Junction City, KY-May 27, 2010- Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are pleased to announce the addition of another National All Star Racing Association event to their schedule on Friday June 18. This will now make a total of three visits by the NASRA to “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” for the 2010 racing season.

For the Friday June 18 event, there will be a full program of NASRA practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 30 lap, $2,000 to win National All Star Racing Association points paying A-Main event. Along with the NASRA Late Models on June 18, there will be a full program of weekly racing series action featuring the Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models (20 laps/$600 to win), Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds (20 laps/$600 to win), and D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman (15 laps/$300 to win).

Activities for the June 18 racing program will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m. and the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice set for 7:00 p.m. Time trials will begin at 7:30 p.m. and racing takes the green flag at or before 8:30 p.m. Ticket prices for the June 18 event in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free to children under age 6, with a pit pass going for $30.

Ponderosa Speedway is located just off of 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY.
