NASRA Double Dips at Lake Cumberland Speedway September 17th & September 18th

Whiteland, IN (September 14, 2010) - The National All Star Racing Association returns to action this weekend with a pair of co-sanctioned events in southeastern Kentucky at the Brandon Hardrove promoted Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on Friday September 17th and Saturday September 18th. Both events will be co-sanctioned with the Tennessee-based Volunteer Racing Series.

On Friday September 17th, it will be the Harold Hardgrove Memorial event featuring a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $2,000 to win Harold Hardgrove Memorial A-Main event. This event will be contested using the VRS race format and procedures, with the NASRA weight and tire rule in effect. Local divisions in action on September 17th include Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, Four Cylinders, and Frontrunners.

On Saturday September 18th, the 20th Annual Lake Cumberland Classic will take place and will also feature a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains and the 40 lap, $3,000 to win Lake Cumberland Classic A-Main event. This event will be contested under NASRA Super Late Model race format and procedures and the NASRA weight and tire rule will again be in place. Local divisions in actions on September 18th include Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, Four Cylinders, and Frontrunners.

Activities for the Friday September 17th Harold Hardgrove Memorial event will see the pit area and general admission area at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., with practice set to begin at 7:15 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and race action. Ticket prices on September 17 in the general admission area will be $17 for adults, children ages 6 to 10 will be $10, and children ages 5 and under will be free, while a pit pass will be $35.

Activities for the Saturday September 18th Lake Cumberland Classic event will see the pit area and general admission area at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice set to begin at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and race action. Ticket prices on September 17 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6 to 10, ages five and under will be free, and a pit pass will be $35.
