Tennessee Super Series Gears Up for Double Header Weekend

Tennessee SUPER SERIES Gears Up for a Double Header Memorial Day Weekend

Winchester, TN (05/16/2011)- The 2011 Tennessee SUPER SERIES returns to action with two big events scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, Saturday May 28th $3000 To-Win at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, TN) and $4000 To-Win on Sunday May 29th at Duck River Speedway (Wheel, TN).

On Saturday May 28th the TSS tour will make its second appearance of three in 2011 at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Tennessee) with a $3000 To-Win 40 lap event. On April 9th, 2011 the second event of series was held and Daniel Miller of Shelbyville, Tenn. took the victory at Winchester Speedway. Also on May 28th will be support divisions seeing racing action. Gates will open at 3 pm, drivers meeting at 5:30 pm, hot laps at 6 pm and racing will start at 6:30 pm. The TSS tour will travel north on Sunday May 29th to Duck River Speedway (Wheel, Tennessee) for a $4000 To-Win 40 lap event, along with support divisions racing. The inaugural race for the TSS was held on Friday April 8th, 2011 at Duck River Speedway and Bub McCool of Vicksburg, Miss. claimed top prize after leading all 40 laps to win the $3000. Gates will open at 4 pm, drivers meeting at 5:30 pm, hot laps at 6 pm and racing starts at 6:30 pm. For more information on the event visit www.duckriverspeedway.net .

After the first two of eight events, Tim Busha of Boaz, Ala. leads the Tenn. SUPER SERIES points with 188 points. Busha had a strong showing in the first two SUPER SERIES events finishing third in both events on April 8th and 9th. Daniel Miller of Shelbyville, Tenn. sits second only four points behind Busha, with 184 points. Lakeland, Tenn.’s Dane Dacus rides in third place with 180 points. Following Dane Dacus in points are: Tony Morris: 174, Mark Fields: 162, Corey Posey: 156, Terry English: 154, Tyler Landers: 152, Mark Haddon: 142 and Tanner English: 142 rounds out your top ten in the Tennessee SUPER SERIES points after the first two events.
