Brandon Smith Leads RiceTec Summer Series Points

HARRISBURG, Arkansas (July 16) – With the first two rounds of the RiceTec Summer Series in the books it’s Brandon Smith, who leads the way in the miniseries sanctioned by the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event.

Over the course of last weekend, July 15th-16th, the CCSDS tour hosted a pair of events at Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas) and Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas).  On the heels of a fourth place finish on Friday, and his first career, series’ win on Saturday night, 2010 CCSDS Rookie of the Year, Brandon Smith leads the way in the RiceTec Summer Series standings.  

The 2010 RiceTec Summer Series Champion, Billy Moyer Jr. is just eight points back in the second spot with Jon Kirby, Jeff Floyd, Curtis Cook, Jon Mitchell, Dewaine Hottinger, Shane Harris, Johnny Virden, and Bill Frye rounding out the current top ten in the standings.

The final two rounds of the miniseries will be held on August 5th and 6th as the tour travels to Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri) and I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).  A $1,000 cash prize will go to the RiceTec Summer Series Champion, and a variety of contingency prizes will be distributed to the top five in the final standings.
