The stars of the Carolina Clash are ready to tackle Dublin Motor Speedway
Round 4 of the JE Pistons Roush Yates "Chase for the Championship"

The stars of the Carolina Clash return to Dublin Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 24 for a $4,000 to win event. Kenny Compton Jr currently holds onto the points lead by just 2 points over 2010 Carolina Clash Champion Dennis Franklin. Luke Roffers sits in 3rd 23 points behind the leader. Roffers is followed by the 2009 Carolina Clash Champion Jeff Smith. Mike Gault rounds out the top five in his first year with the Carolina Clash. With the points battle this close it is sure to be a battle for every position on the track. With only 3 races left in the JE Pistons Roush/Yates Performance Parts "Chase for the Championship" every spot closer to the front will mean more Chase points en-route to the coveted Championship honors.

Back in May of this year Kenny Compton Jr. in his first ever appearance at Dublin Motor Speedway was the XS Power Racing Batteries Fastest Qualifier. During qualifying Compton flat footed his Appalachian Leasing sponsored, Clements powered, Bloomquist chassis for both qualifying laps. Compton capitalized on the front row starting spot by jumping out to an early lead and taking the win.

In June of 2010 Luke Roffers got his first ever Carolina Clash victory at Dublin Motor Speedway. Jeff Smith is another driver that knows how to get around the Dublin Motor Speedway as the 2009 Carolina Clash Champion won the last two features the Clash ran at Dublin Motor Speedway in 2010.

So far this season, Luke Roffers has four Carolina Clash victories. Ray Cook has 2 Carolina Clash wins the latest coming last weekend at Wythe Raceway. Dennis Franklin, Chris Ferguson, Johnny Pursley, Kenny Compton Jr, Austin Dillon, Ricky Weeks, Scott Autry, and Ross Bailes all have scored one Carolina Clash victory this season. There are a lot of top notch drivers in the Clash that are still looking for their first Clash victory of the season and this may be the weekend we have a new name to add to the winners list.

Pit Gates will open at 3pm with the grandstands gates opening at 4pm. Go to www.dublinspeedway.net for more information about Dublin Motor Speedway.
