Sunoco continues cash awards for perfect attendance in Deery SeriesLINWOOD, Pa. (April 25) – Sunoco Race Fuels continues putting cash in the pocket of drivers with perfect attendance in the Deery Brothers Summer Series for a third consecutive season.
Eligible drivers who qualify for the evening’s feature will be entered in a drawing for $250 at each IMCA Late Model tour event again in 2012.
Manufacturer of the official fuel of IMCA, Sunoco will give another $2,000 in cash to be divided equally among drivers who compete at all series races. Five drivers earned $400 bonus shares last year.
Sunoco also returns as title sponsor for both the IMCA Stock Car and Hobby Stock divisions and will pay point funds for top 15 finishers in national point standings for each class.
National point fund for the Stocks is $5,000. The Hobby Stock point fund is $3,000.
"The greatest element of the Sunoco program is that it gives cash bonuses, purses and point funds back to racers in each division of the partnership,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Higher fuel prices are tough on racers but Sunoco values the importance of these programs to help offset those expenses. They continue to be a leader in the petroleum industry and we are proud of the lasting relationship we have developed."
All Late Model, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers must display two Sunoco decals on their race car and compete with Sunoco race fuel or race gas to be eligible for cash awards or point fund money.
Sunoco has also renewed its sponsorship of the Stock Car Race of Champions held during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals and will provide the $2,000 purse for that event.
2012 track champions, point leaders in attendance, and former national champions, Super Nationals champions and race winners will be eligible to qualify for the Saturday, Sept. 8 event at Boone Speedway.
