Josh McGuire Runner-Up in Fred Dillow Memorial; Sets Sights on Ponderosa Next
 
GRAYSON, KY (August 21) - Josh McGuire and his #41 JMR team ventured north to the Buckeye State of Ohio on August 16-17 for a pair of $5,000 to win unsanctioned showdowns.  On Friday night at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio, the annual 'Victor Ike Moler Memorial' took place and a strong 31 car field was in the pit area.  Unfortunately, Josh experienced some motor issues early in the night and scratched from the program.
 
Things went much smoother for the Josh McGuire Racing team on Saturday evening at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.  Josh laid down the fastest lap overall during the qualifying session, which earned him an extra $1,077 bonus.  After finishing fourth in the dash, Josh started the 19th Annual 'Fred Dillow Memorial' from the outside of the second row.  The Grayson, Kentucky ace then ran amongst the top five throughout the 50-lap distance before making a charge in the final couple of laps to earn an impressive runner-up performance behind only race winner R.J. The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team has two more events on their radar over the upcoming August 23-24 weekend in the states of Kentucky and Ohio.  On Friday night, Josh will make a rare trip to Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky for the 6th Annual ‘Friday Night Rumble,’ which boasts a $7,500 top prize.  The doubleheader will then conclude on Saturday evening with another visit to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for a $2,000 to win weekly program.  Additional information on these races can be found by clicking on www.ponderosaspeedway.net and www.portsraceway.com.
