Dennis Erb, Jr. Set to Close 2013 Campaign at Duck River Following World Finals

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL (November 13) - Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team were in the pit area at the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina from November 7-9 for the seventh annual 'World Finals.' Things kicked off at the Charlotte-area venue on Thursday night with a pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series qualifying sessions, which set the heat race lineups for the two $12,000 to win blockbuster events. Dennis posted the fourth fastest lap in Group B for Friday's showdown, while he laid down the nineteenth quickest circuit in Group B for Saturday's program.

At the 4/10-mile speedplant on Friday night, Dennis ran second in his heat race, which locked him into the outside of the fifth row for the start of the 50-lap main event. The Carpentersville, Illinois native hung around the top ten for much of the distance before slipping back to a thirteenth place performance. On Saturday evening, Dennis unfortunately failed to transfer into the 'World Finals' finale after running seventh in his stacked heat race and twelfth in his B-Main. Complete results from Charlotte can be viewed by pointing your web browser to www.woolms.com.

Dennis Erb Racing will head back down south on November 15-16 to the Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. The 2nd Annual ‘Deep Fried 75’ will be held at DRRP this weekend and the unsanctioned event will boast a $10,000 winner’s check. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Friday night, while the consolation events and the 75-lap A-Main are slated for Saturday evening. Despite suffering a flat tire in last year’s inaugural version of the ‘Deep Fried 75,’ Dennis battled back to finish a strong fourth in the final rundown. Additional information on the ‘Deep Fried 75’ weekend can be accessed by clicking on www.duckriverracewaypark.com.
