Conley Motorsports, Inc. Readies for Visit to Atomic Speedway on Heels of Independence 50WHEELERSBURG, OH (July 8) - Conley Motorsports, Inc. headed to the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday evening, July 4 for the annual running of the 'Independence 50.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the $10,000 to win special over the Independence Day holiday weekend at PRP. R.J. Conley ran fifth in his loaded heat race and won his B-Main to earn the outside ninth row starting spot for the 50-lap main event. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace then dodged an early wreck and eventually wound up fourteenth in the final rundown of the 'Independence 50.'
Delmas Conley finished fifth in his heat race and second in his B-Main, but later drew a lap 21 caution flag and was placed fifteenth in the final finishing order of the feature at PRP. Rod Conley ran sixth in his heat race, third in his B-Main, and twenty-first in the 50-lapper. J.T. With R.J. Conley opting to take the upcoming weekend off from racing action, the other three Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) drivers will set their sights on Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio this Saturday night, July 11. Family Fun Night is planned at the former K-C Raceway and the weekly Super Late Model event will boast a $2,000 payday. Delmas Conley has been especially lethal at Atomic this year with four feature victories, while his son Rod Conley has reached victory lane at the track on one occasion already in 2015.
