CORONA, Calif. (April 2) - A six-race schedule for the month of April awaits the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series as their $2.9 million dollar season continues with visits to four states, starting with a triple-header of racing action in the Peach State of Georgia April 3rd-5th.

The series makes its first ever visit to Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, GA on Thursday night, April 3rd for a $7,000 to win event at the Paul Purvis owned facility. On Friday night, April 4th, another new track will see the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at the James "Redd" Griffin promoted Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, GA. This is the largest one day pay-off in this track's history, with $10,000 to the winner of the Lovett's Hardware and Tradin' Post of Rincon, GA sponsored race.

To conclude the three-day jaunt through Georgia, the series heads to the Frankie Lloyd owned Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA for the "Tiny Lund Tribute", on Saturday night, April 5th. The $10,000 to win event at Golden Isles will also have the cameras of SPEED on hand to tape the event, which will be aired on a later date and time - to be announced.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series then makes a return trip, for the first time in three years, to Jim Nier's KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH, for the "Glockner 50", which will pay $10,000 to the victor. Ohio native, Donnie Moran, scored the win the last time the series visited the home of the "Dirt Track World Championship", back on July 9, 2005.

To wind up the month of April, a trip to the East Coast awaits the superstars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, as Bedford Speedway in Bedford, PA hosts the series for the first time ever with the $7,000 to win "Bedford Valley Petroleum" sponsored event on Friday night, April 25th. The next night, the drivers head to the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD for the "Stanley Schetrompf Memorial Race", which pays $10,000 to win. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regular Scott James of Lawrenceburg, IN is the defending race winner.

The events during the month of April featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be the next series of events that 20 drivers will be eligible for the "Winners Circle Program" and the "Jasper Engines Road to Wheatland bonus monies. This is an incentive program that will pay the top ten drivers in the 2008 Championship Points an extra $600 each with perfect attendance throughout 2008. The "Jasper Engines Road to Wheatland" program will also pay an additional $600 to each of the ten highest points drivers from the final 2007 Championship Points standings that follow the Road to Wheatland with perfect attendance, but are not in the current top ten in points. The SuperClean "Diamond Nationals" at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO is slated for May 9th and 10th and will pay $40,000 to win this year.
