DAVID BREAZEALE NEW NeSMITH SUPER DIRT CAR SERIES POINT LEADER

CARTERSVILLE, GA – David Breazeale of Kosciusko, MS drove the L&D Trucking Mastersbilt to a second-place finish on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL to take over the point lead in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series standings after the first two events of the 2010 season. It was Breazeale’s second straight top five finish.

Anthony Burroughs of Sheffield, AL finished fifth at North Alabama Speedway in the ALT Transportation Mastersbilt to also post his second straight top five finish, and is second in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series point standings. Breazeale has 188 points and Burroughs has 184 points.

Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN drove the Miller Brothers Coal Mastersbilt powered by a GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine to a fourth-place finish at North Alabama Speedway and is third in the standings with 178 points. Rick Rickman of Columbus, MS is fourth in the standings with 170 points after a third-place finish at NAS in the Advanced Logistics Mastersbilt.

Kyle Beard of Truman, AR is fifth in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series points chase with 168 points driving the Gary Beard Trucking GRT. Dean Carpenter of Coldwater, MS is sixth with 154 points in the Carpenter Construction SLM.

Neil Baggett of Shannon, MS in the Caldwell Racing GRT is tied for the seventh spot in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series with Matthew Turner of Dawsonville, GA driving the Turner Excavating DWB powered by a GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine with 140 points.

Klint Byars of Carrollton, MS is ninth with 126 points in the Southern Belle GRT, and Brian Rickman of Columbus, MS rounds out the top ten in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series point standings with 114 points driving the Advanced Logistics Mastersbilt.

Drivers in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series are competing for a $22,000 point fund that awards the champion $10,000 and pays back ten spots. Drivers’ point totals are based on their best ten finishes of the 2010 season.
