Garrett Alberson Rocks Hammer Hill for First CCSDS Win

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (August 5) – Las Cruces, New Mexico hot shoe, Garrett Alberson wired the field at I-30 Speedway on Friday night to claim his first-career COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil feature win.

Alberson started in the Pole Position, and grabbed the lead as soon as the green flag flew on the Rockabilly 33. Jack Sullivan quickly worked his way into the runner-up spot as he set his sights on Alberson.

By lap 7 the leaders were negotiating lapped traffic. Over the next few laps Sullivan began reducing Alberson’s advantage as Hunter Rasdon, Scott Crigler, and Tommy Surrett gave chase.

A pair of cautions slowed the event just past the halfway mark with Alberson holding the lead over Sullivan, Rasdon, and 10th-starting Wendell Wallace.

A final caution flew with just seven laps remaining in the 33-lap affair when Crigler spun in turn 2. From that point Alberson went on to claim the $2,000 victory with Jack Sullivan, Hunter Rasdon, Wendell Wallace, and Ashley Newman completing the Top 5.
